NHS Pension Scheme increased contributions calculator for 2012/13

The DH has developed a calculator to allow NHS workers to see how changes to contribution rates from 2012/13 will affect them.

Increases to NHS pension scheme contribution rates come into force on 1 April 2012. Changes mean that NHS workers earning between £69,932 and £110,273 will see their contributions rise by 2.4%, from 7.5% to 9.9%.

The employee contributions calculator enables NHS Pension Scheme members to calculate how much their contributions will increase, if at all, on a monthly basis on both a gross and net of tax relief basis.
