NHS supperannuation

Q: As a retired GP partner doing appraisals, I receive payments from the PCT without the NHSPS employee's contribution deducted but with the employer's contribution taken off. Is this right?

A: This is probably correct and suggests that your PCT deducted the amount that it is paying you for carrying out appraisals to give you funding for your own employer's superannuation as you are no longer in the pension scheme.

You are no longer paying the employer's element over to the PCT so it has deducted this so that you are effectively receiving the same amount as everyone else.
