From PMS to GMS

Q: Our PMS practice's funding has been savaged by the PCT. If we move to a GMS contract, will the GP partners' personal NHS employer's superannuation be funded?

A: The funding for the employer's superannuation is included in the GMS global sum amount per patient; there is no additional funding.

A word of warning: you need to bear in mind that the practice is unlikely to receive a minimum practice income guarantee (MPIG) correction factor if it moves from PMS to GMS.
