Updates to private fees

Details of the latest updates to the Medeconomics GP Fees Database.

12 February 2020

This fee has been updated to reflect the fact that during 2020/21 the BMA will recommend that practices should not charge for this work while it is considered as part of a review on reducing bureaucracy in general practice. This is a non-contractual change agreed as part of the 2020 GP contract deal between the BMA and NHS England. Click on the link above for full details.

The Debt and Mental Health Evidence form fee has been updated to reflect a new pledge by the BMA that practices in England will stop charging patients for completeing this form when a new simplified version is introduced.

Solicitors reports fee details have been updated to reflect the introduction of the GDPR and outline when practices must provide information for free and when they can charge for reports.

Medical records: access to information has been updated to reflect the introduction of the GDPR.

April 2018

Case conferences and safeguarding reports has been updated to include a link to new BMA guidance that confirms practices can charge for this work and advises them to agree fees before completing any reports or attending case conferences.

March 2018

The travel immunisations fees page has been updated to reflect revised BMA guidance on which vaccines practices can charge for and links updated.
