24-hour retirement

I intend to take 24-hour retirement. I know that for the first month I can only work 16 hours, but can I work as a locum for the practice or do out-of-hours work for the PCT even if I work 16 hours for the practice?

All NHS employments during the first month after retirement must not exceed a combined total of 16 hours.

In other words, the 16-hour restriction does not apply to each NHS employment, but to all of them added together. Practice locum work and out- of-hours work for your PCT would be treated as NHS employments.
